UW EMERGING BUSINESS AWARD GIVEN TO ANDREWS SPACE, INC.

Seattle, WA,  November 1, 2006  The University of Washington (UW) Business School announced that is has selected Andrews Space, Inc. (Andrews) as the winner of the Emerging Business Award this year.  Andrews will be awarded along with Congruent, as the judges chose both companies for a tie for the first time in the awards program history.  The UW Minority Business of the Year Awards dinner will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle, WA. 

Michael Verchot, Director of the Business and Economic Development Center at UW Business School said, "Companies are judged based on their success in growing their revenue, the quality of their management, and the way they give back to their community. Our judges were very impressed with Andrews Space's strong revenue growth in a competitive industry niche and with the quality of the firm's management. Andrews Space is a clear example of what we mean when we say that people of color build globally competitive companies that will be leaders in Washington's economy for generations to come."
