ANDREWS SPACE APPOINTS TATE TO SENIOR ADVISORY BOARD
Seattle, WA, February 12, 2007 - Former Vice President, Legislative Affairs for the Aerospace Industries Association, Thomas "Tom" Tate, joins Andrews Space, Inc. (Andrews) as a Senior Advisor for Legislative Affairs.
"I am pleased to have the opportunity to help this group of bright, enthusiastic and dedicated young engineers achieve their goals," said Tate, when asked to serve. "This is exactly the type of small contractor NASA needs to compliment their own mission teams. I am continually impressed with their 'can do' positive attitude."
Tate's combined industry and government aerospace career spans more than 48 years and encompasses a wide range of positions. Some of these include working with RCA in the Missile & Surface Radar Division, as well as Rockwell International on the Gemini Paraglider, Apollo, Skylab, and Space Shuttle programs. Tate served the House of Representatives as a senior staff member on the Committee on Science & Technology

The Andrews Senior Advisory Board is comprised of independent leaders that meet regularly to advise Andrews' management team and program managers on strategic and tactical matters. Tate's fellow board members include former Astronaut Wendy Laurence and aerospace industry executive Tom Short.
Tate is headquartered in Washington DC and has been representing Andrews for over a year on Capitol Hill and at NASA Headquarters.
