Marian S. Joh
Marian Joh is co-founder, Chairperson of the Board, as well as Chief Executive Officer of Andrews Space (Andrews). She oversees the corporation's business, contracts, and finance activities and provides direction for the budget, policy, and business strategies for the company.
Prior to founding Andrews, Ms. Joh was Vice President of Scheinrock Advisory Group. She worked with clients to establish business strategies and developed corporate initiatives to improve their positions in the marketplace. Before Scheinrock, she was the lead Financial Analyst at Kistler Aerospace Corporation. Ms. Joh developed and managed the corporate financial model and was instrumental in developing Kistler's business plan. She was a key member of the initial financial team that raised over $300 million in private equity.
Jason Andrews
Jason Andrews co-founded Andrews Space in July 1999. Since that time, he has led the company's daily operations as President and has been responsible for averaging over 50% annual growth while moving into new markets and expanding the company's core competencies. Mr. Andrews leads the strategy development for the company and manages all day-to-day operations, including profit and loss responsibility, customer relations, new business development, program management, staffing, and engineering management.
Prior to co-founding Andrews Space, he worked at Kistler Aerospace Corporation (1995 to 1998) where he held a range of positions including K-1 Vehicle Two Project Manager, Design Integration Manager, Propulsion Project Engineer and Performance Analyst.
Mr. Andrews was named as a 2006 Puget Sound Business Journal 40 Under 40 Award Recipient.
Jeff Scheinrock
Mr. Scheinrock is a member of GKM Newport Generation Funds, a fund of funds managing in excess of $950M for investments into venture capital funds and private equity buyout funds. He is also the CEO of Scheinrock Advisory Group, Inc. Prior to founding Scheinrock Advisory Group in mid-1997, Mr. Scheinrock served as Vice Chairman, Chief Financial Officer, and Director of Kistler Aerospace Corporation. While at Kistler, he formulated the capital-raising plan and all documents for a successful raise of $350M in equity. He also negotiated strategic contracts with suppliers such as Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Aerojet, Allied Signal, and Raytheon.
Mr. Scheinrock has extensive experience in international financial markets, corporate finance and capital structure, acquisitions and strategic investment, and is a CPA. From 1989 to 1996, he served as Vice Chairman of Finance and Strategic Planning for Packard Bell NEC Electronics, Inc. He negotiated equity investments from Groupe Bull and NEC, and also negotiated tax incentives in excess of $1B in bank debt and $3B in trade credit from companies such as Intel, Microsoft, and Panasonic. Jeff also handled the negotiation and structuring of all acquisitions including Zenith Data Systems and Ark Interface Software among others. Prior to joining Packard Bell NEC, Mr. Scheinrock was Senior Partner in charge of the Entrepreneurial Services Group of Arthur Young and Company’s Los Angeles office.
Mr. Scheinrock is a Director of Andrews Space.
Dr. Dana Andrews
Dr. Dana Andrews joined Andrews Space as Chief Technology Officer. Prior to joining Andrews Space, Dr. Andrews worked at The Boeing Company as Director of Reusable Launch Systems for Boeing Phantom Works, where he oversaw the Boeing TSTO RLV, Future X, Military Space Plane, and Solar-Thermal Orbital Transfer Vehicle (SOTV) Programs. He was Chief Engineer for the Boeing side of the McDonnell/Boeing team for the X-33/RLV program. He also managed the Boeing Air-Launch Studies, and initiated and led the Boeing team for the Commercial Space Transportation Study (CSTS). Prior to that Dr. Andrews was Program Manager for the BMDO SSTO Study, Functional Manager of Aerodynamics for the Boeing Aerospace Group, Boeing Habitation module Manager for the International Space Station Program, and Program Manager for the Aero-Assisted Orbital Transfer Vehicle (AOTV).
Dr. Andrews currently serves as Chairman of the Space Propulsion Committee, and is ex-chairman of the Space Transportation Committee of the International Astronautics Federation (IAF). He is a member of both the IAF Interstellar Exploration and the AIAA Advanced Propulsion technical committees. He has published approximately 30 papers on space transportation and is the co-inventor of the magnetic sail (Magsail) with Robert Zubrin.
